This collection was designed for the 1000 year anniversary festival of Thang Long-Hanoi and it was displayed for the first time at Thang Long Imperial Citadel. One of the three sets in the Holy Dragon collection has a 13.6m tunic. It is designed to represent the dragon in the Ly King period.

Beside these three sets, Nhat Dung also presented the museum one ao dai set which was on display at the Miss Ethnic Vietnam Pageant, and another at the Sea and Island Festival 2010. Five sets of ao dai will be on display at the museum until October 20th.

At the receiving ceremony of ao dai, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tham, director of the Southern Women’s Museum, also launched a photo contest with the themes: women on with environment, women on the population issue, and a writing contest about Vietnam heroic mothers.

The contests will begin on March 8th and run until October 20th. Participants will be domestic and foreign professional and non professional photographers.
