(Cinet)- Ha Tay now has 3,037 vestiges, including 1,029 communal houses; 1,032 pagodas; 165 shrines, 133 village houses; 286 temples and ancestral churches; celebrity temples; revolutionary vestiges, trade village houses; ancient village gate. The total number of ranked vestiges is 1,128, of which 650 at national level and 568 at provincial level.
In 2007, Culture and Information Industry has implemented anti-degradation for 71 cultural and historical vestiges with the total cost of 21.95 billion dong. Of which Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism financed 11 billion dong to restore 11 vestiges; Provincial People’s Committee supported 10 billion dong for 26 vestiges; Department of Culture and Information sponsored 950 billion dong for 34 vestiges; and the whole people’s total contribution cost was 16 billion dong. Presently, Department of Culture and Information has guided authorized locals on registering investment procedures; completing rehabilitation procedures for four vestiges with the cost of 550 million dong; carrying out restoration, maintenance and preservation project for Dinh Thuy Phieu cultural-historical vestige (Ba Vi). At the same time, the Department in co-ordination with Japanese specialists also survey Duong Lam ancient village and guide Management Board of Duong Lam ancient village to conduct vestige protection and management well e.g.
