Continue to strengthen the management and organization of festivals

(Cinet) - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued Letter No. 943/BVHTTDL-VHCS requiring the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the provincies/cities centrally continue to strengthen the management and organization festivals.
 
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the provinces/cities in central areas shall review and make an inventory of the types of festivals. Based on this work, Departments shall classify, evaluate and propose measures to strengthen the management and organization of the festivals.
 
The Ministry requires the banning of giving licenses, reconstructing festivals rampantly; the authorization shall be made strictly under the provisions of the State on the management and organization of festivals.
ceremonies held periodically with rites, rituals, contents causing public pressures such as "buffalo sacrifice", "bullfighting", "buffalo bridge", "cutting pig", "Phet festival", rob fortune "...ect to organize community consultations, workshops and choose appropriate forms, encourage people to remove these festivals, replace the custom to develop the trend appropriately. New licenses, the reestablishment of the festivals with similar forms and  contents are not allowed.
 
The organiziation of festivals shall be in a safe and ecnomical way, not for the  purpose of profiteering, violating the cultural life, not hamonizing traditions and customs.
 
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also requires the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the provincies/cities centrally continue to strictly implement the Directive 41-CT/TW dated on February 5, 2015 of Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership for the management and organization of the festivals; Public Order No.229/CD-TTg dated on February 12, 2015 of the Prime Minister on strengthening the management and organization of the festivals;
