(Cinet)- Minister Hoang Anh Tuan has recently worked with two provinces: Hau Giang and Long An. After listening to reports and recommendations from Leaders of two provinces on the aspects of culture, sports and tourism, the Minister concluded as follows:
For Hau Giang province
The Minister ordered provincial Leaders to pay much attention to some issues: Rechecking the development planning of culture, sports and tourism; Assigning Research Institute for Tourism Development, Research Institute for Culture and Arts, Scientific Institute for Gyms and Sports under the Ministry assisting representative agencies of the Ministry in the South and Department of Plan and Finance in promoting units to support the province; Speeding up promotion and propaganda activities in all three domains: culture – sports – tourism, of which forms of intangible culture, specifically “don ca tai tu”, have mainly maintained and developed or Festivals are often held to select excellent actors and actresses for the newly establishment of the provincial Delegation of Reformed Theatre…; Facilitating investment projects into tourist & recreational areas and setting up travel companies; Reevaluating cultural institutions; Strengthening human resources training to do the works on three key domains and making plans for investment and synchronous development. The Ministry will support personnel cultivation and training works for the province.
For the province’s recommendations, the Minister directed as follows:
The Ministry in co-ordination with the province suggest Ministry of Planning and Investment should submit to the Government on allocating investment and construction for the provincial Center of Culture and Sports; Agreeing to raise expenses from the national target Program on culture for the province since 2009 and equipment purchase expenditure for cultural facilities, especially the Khmer ethnic minority area; Approving investment assistance policies for the road system into Lung Ngoc Hoang ecological tourist Area and Vi Thuy cajuput Garden; Agreeing to take 75 Victory Memorial Group of puppet army battalion into the provincial Cultural Center; Taking interest in and support big investment capital to restore and upgrade the relic of Uncle Ho worship temple which is expected to be completed in 2009.
For Vinh Long province
The province should facilitate development strategies on three fields of culture, sports and tourism, of which there exists integration and association to develop culture, sports and tourism; The province needs being interested in training human resources, labor forces…in line with social demands; The province needs planning tourist areas, mainly caring about exploring the strengths of ecological tourisms, recreational areas, high quality accommodations…
For Vinh Long’s recommendations, the Minister guided as follows:
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism continuously finances infrastructure investment expenses for Tan Lap junction Village ecological tourist Area and Don Rach Cat tourist destination. Besides, Long An province needs building additional tourist destinations to suggest Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for approval in the upcoming period. The province takes interest in promoting tourism; holding fairs and expositions; advertising…
In terms of difficulties in the tourist trip from Vietnam to Kampuchea and vice versa: With reference to this problem, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will work with Ministry of Transport and Communications for settlement. Money is limited to paying salary based on the minimum salary rate for cultural units when implementing the Circular No. 154/2007/TT-BTC of Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism acknowledges and will work with Ministry of Finance for settlement. Referring to financing the construction of Gyms and Sports University and Athletic Training Center, the Province should facilitate detailed projects reported to Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Under these projects, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will have a positive impact on Ministry of Planning and Investment, and Ministry of Finance. In terms of the upgrading of stadiums, in this situation, the Province should conduct it towards socialization.
