(Cinet)- Head Department of Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Dang Van Bai has sent an official document to Ben Tre Provincial People’s Committee. This document said, “Vietnam Department of Cultural Heritage worked with Institute of History. This agency issued an official document in which historians highly appreciated the merits of Phan Thanh Gian on many fields of culture, diploma and politics."
Phan Thanh Gian held many key posts in the Nguyen dynasty. He was known as a upright and moral old person. Particularly, he contributed greatly to the national history on many fields of literature, history…The Institute of History included: “With new awareness on the national historical opinion, Phan Thanh Gian deserves to be honored in various forms”.
Department of Cultural Heritage suggested Ben Tre Provincial People Committee should assign regulatory agencies to inventory all the relics concerning Phan Thanh Gian. From that, plans for restoring and promoting the values of the relics.
