Celebrate a cost saving Tet of Mau Ty 2008 with happiness and safety

(Cinet)- Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism gave the ministerial departments and bodies, local Departments of Culture and Information, Departments of Sports and Gymnasiums, provincial and city Departments of Tourism Management the direction of how to organise all the activities and services for the Mau Ty 2008 Tet holiday.

According to the direction, cultural, sports and tourism activities must meet the requirement of good content, safety and diversity; focusing on the typically traditional cultural values and folklores. Local activities with simple festival procedures must be cost saving, practical, close to the daily life activities and ensure the security for people. Priority is given to the remote, countryside and moutainous areas.

Local and central authorities and departments must cooperate their actions in order to ensure the safety for people taking part in the festivals and cultural, sport and tourism actitivies organised during the Tet holiday; firing fire-cracker is strictly banned.

It is necessary to inspect, discover, prevent and intime solve the violation of organizing cultural, sports and tourism activities, superstitious practice, illegal gaming, heroine usage… as well as follow the cost saving regulation, especially prohibit the state and common budget spending on gifts and bribery on the occasion of Tet.

The specific tasks include: propaganda plan about the activities celebrating the Party and the Spring held by the news agencies, perfomances and films on air in service of mountainous, remote islands and areas by Department of Art Performances, Department of Cinema, Local Department of Culture, Department of Fine Art, Photography and Exhibition, Department of Library.

Hanoi Cutural Department is in charge of the well organisation of art performances during the first lunar new year Eve and the Tet holidays at places in Hanoi and Tet Film Week at cinemas as well…

The Central Administration Department of Sports and Gynasiums focuses on organizing the folklore games and sports with the traditionally educational meanings, the Tet holiday for students and athletics of those sports and gynasium schools. The National Administration of Tourism well prepares services to receive and leave good impression on tourists, especially foreign visitors during the Tet holiday.
