Informing the conclusion of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Tien Tho on the preparation work of the 2008 Hue Festival

(Cinet)- At the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Minister Le Tien Tho has had a working session with Ngo Xuan Hoa – Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue provincial People’s Committee on the preparation work of the 2008 Hue Festival.

At the working session, Deputy Minister Le Tien Tho said the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism highly appreciated the preparation work of Thua Thien Hue Province on organizing the 2008 Hue Festival.

To hold the festival efficiently and successfully, the Deputy Minister suggested Thua Thien Hue provincial People’s Committee directing Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to examine all the festival activities concerning the Ministry of of Culture, Sports and Tourism enclosed herewith a specifically petition document to help the Ministry consider and guide regulatory units under the Ministry to coordinate the implementation together. In terms of a recommendation supporting two Canadian circus artists  in close cooperation with performing circus Federation at the Festival, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism should work with Vietnam Circus Federation and send the Ministry a reporting document for approval.

Simultaneously, the Deputy Minister recommended that Thua Thien Hue province should further adopt socialization promotion policies, namely higly social activities, to strengthen economic efficiency. The content of the 2008 Hue Festival opening ceremony must present creativity and gain much efficiency in all live shows related to tourist and cultural promotion. Typically, international teams attend the opening ceremony with many plentiful forms of arts. With reference to certain community activities at the Festival, to organize festivals and seminars, the Province should draft a reporting document and submit to the Central Propaganda Committee, Ministries, and regulatory authorities for approval. With regard to the 2008 Hue Festival Propaganda work, the Province should further expand in the East-West economic area to create tourist attraction.

The Ministry will appoint the Central Puppet Theatre to join the performance at the Festival if the Province prepares a performance stage, of which many performing acts winning high prizes at the First international Puppet Festival in 2008 in Hanoi. Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will also assign regulatory units under the Ministry to guide and coordinate one another to help the Province hold the 2008 Hue Festival successfully.
