MCST: Holding a Inspection Conference nationwide for the 2007 Culture and Information Industry

(Cinet)- On March 7th , Inspector of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a Inspection Conference nationwide for the 2007 Culture and Information Industry in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province

This is the final general Inspection Conference for the Culture and Information Industry before inspection activities have been implemented under the targets and tasks of the newly elected Ministries.

A report of the state management work for Culture – Information activities and services nationwide shows, Culture and Information inspection forces carried out checking 21,297 cultural business bases and culture-information services. Detecting and tackling 4,947 violation agencies. Beside warning punishment, operation suspension, document transfer to suggest investigating criminal liabilities for nearly tens of violation cases…, Culture and Information inspection forces at every level confiscated many violation goods.

In fact, in the last three years, the serious implementation of the Prime Minister’s directions on regulating negative activities in bars, dance halls, restaurants and karaoke has gained remarkable results. Delegates in the conference recommended the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism that locals continuously should be granted newly mentioned licenses to avoid arising disguises in operation, causing difficulties for the implementation of Decree No. 11/2005/NĐ-CP permitted by Prime Minister

Closing the ceremony, based on the assessment of the 2007 inspection activities and the 2008 targets and plans of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the conference also focused on thoroughly grasping key tasks of the 2008 inspection work.
