Russian literature on display in Hanoi

A selection of Russian literature is on display for a week in Hanoi to introduce and popularize of Russian literature in Vietnam.

The event is being held by the Vietnam-Soviet Union Friendship Association, the Hanoi Vietnam-Soviet Union Friendship Association and the Center of East and West Culture and Languages to mark the Russian October revolution.
During the week, literary lovers will see works of Russian literate which are for the first time being introduced to Vietnam, and also Russian literature translated into Vietnamese.
In addition, there are 50 collections of Russian poems which have been translated by Vietnamese translators over the past 50 years; works by Puskin and about him; publications about Russian literature; and textbooks about Russian literature in Vietnamese.
Portraits and objects related to Russian literature such as stamps, envelopes, badges and coins in Vietnam are also on display.
A cultural exchange will be held to discuss about Russian literature and translations among translators, researchers and teachers of Russian literature.
