(Cinet)- February 28th at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (ex-ministry of Culture and Informatics) held a sum up meeting on the 2007 Union Operation and 2008 plan development.
Mr. Nguyen Danh Thai- the Party Committee Secretary, Deputy Ministry of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Youth Union representatives of offices attended the meeting. All Union’s achievements in 2007 were presented. In 2007 thanks to great support of unions from governmental officers, the party committee leadership and the ministry direction, the Youth Union – the ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism successfully fulfilled the task. The education and idea orientation work for unionists and youths were promoted strongly, the qualities of education were focused; intensify the change on both content and way of organization. The Youth Union promotes youths’ volunteer and creation on contributing the develop of the country’s economic and society and fulfilling the task.
At the meeting, the 2008 plan was also given: continuing to speed up the task of idea education, revolution morality, patriotic tradition and the campaign “ Study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s moral example”; responding the emulation launches of Central Youth Union; speeding up the movement of youth participation in building cultural and spiritual life at grassroots level, particularly the grassroots level Youth Union and the cultural Youth Union branch movements.
