Tien Giang: Carrying out checking re-recognition for cultural ward and commune title

(Cinet)- Up to November 2007, Tien Giang has 22 wards and communes recognized by the cultural ward and commune title. Over the last few years, the Steering Committee of the whole people’s movement has united to build localities’ cultural life positively and improve criteria, especially landscape, environmental sanitation and the rate of poor households.

Based on Guideline No.05/HD-BCĐ dated 11th  December 2006 by the Steering Committee of the movement, named” The whole people unite to build Tien Giang province’ cultural life in the periods 2006-2010 lasting from June November to 23rd November 2007”, guiding procedures and criteria for titles’ recognition approval in this movement ”, the Appraising Board of the province’s cultural ward and commune go on an practically inspection tour at recognized cultural wards and communes

The provincial Appraising Board is divided into 3 delegations (Delegation 1 led by Tran Minh Ba – Deputy Chief of the provincial Committee of propaganda and training Department, Delegation 2 by Nguyen Thanh Hoang, Deputy Chairman of provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Frontier and Delegation 3 by Nguyen Minh Ngoc, Director of Department of Culture and Information). Each including 12 members inspects 21 cultural ward and commune in the province (except for Hau My Phu commune). At the meeting, the Appraising Delegation listens to local reports concerning the improvement of cultural criteria and presentation of score sheets. Afterwards, members in each delegation are divided into many small groups to master not only implementation and local government’s awareness.

To complete this inspection, the Appraising Delegation will discuss and vote by ballot for each case of cultural wards and communes, at the same time propose provincial People’s Committee to re-recognize the 2007 cultural title for proper wards and communes.

After the publication of two articles concerning the 2007 Jewelry Miss, We, the Organizing Board continuously receives many letters of denunciation related to the contest. As presented in, Vu Khac Tiep, his letter of denunciation, Director of Ve Nu Fashion Co., Ltd reinvestigated the case of Phan Nhu Thao (a model of Ve Nu Company) was induced to buy the award by a member of the Organizing  as reflected by Hochiminh Law. At the same time, it was also submitted to Department of Performing arts.
