Days of Pusan to be held in HCM City

Ho Chi Minh City will play host to “Days of Pusan” on November 9-11 in a bid to bolster the friendship and all-around cooperation between the two cities.

The event, held to mark the 10 th anniversary of relations between HCM City and Pusan city of the Republic of Korea , will feature various activities such as Days of Pusan films, a conference on cooperation between film makers of the two countries and a Viet Nam-RoK cultural festival.
The film festival will enchant local movie-buffs with seven renowned films of Pusan , including “A Beautiful Day”, which has bagged the best film for the youths award at the Roma International Film Festival 2007.
High on the agenda of the event will also be an exchange between students from the HCM City Theatrical and Cinematographic College and famous directors from the RoK, including Kim Yong Hwa, Ok Mi Na and Oh Seok Kung.
The initiative will be jointly held by the municipal People’s Committee, the RoK Consul General in HCM City , the Ministry of Culture and Information, the RoK International Exchange Fund, and the Pusan Cinematographic Committee.
