(Cinet) - The first festival on some traditional fashions in the ethnic minority groups attracts to 54 minority groups from 52 provinces in the whole country organized by Committee for Ethnic Minorities and the MOCST.
With a total of 100 traditional costumes, the festival introduced 54 ethnic minority groups in
Cinet introduces some typical picture about traditional costumes in some ethnic minority groups as follows:
1. Hani people’s traditional costume: Hani people have a population of 25.958 living in the northern area of Hani people’s traditional costume
2. Mang people’s traditional costume: is a short skirt and a sexy shirt with no hat. Mang people’s traditional costume
3. Lahu people’s traditional costume: men wear black coats, trousers, and black belts around their heads while women's gowns greatly resemble cheong-sam (the traditional long dress with high collar and slit skirt). Lahu people’s traditional costume
4. Nung people’s traditional costumes: Nung people wears warm old clothes. Most clothing are traditional indigo ones, symbolizing faithfulness.

5. Khmu peole’s traditional costume: with about 88.655 people, Khmu people live in the mountain. Daily costumes are scraft, shirt and waist.

6. Lu people’s traditional costume: Their garments are decorated with colorful motifs on dark indigo cloths, particularly the best suits are more beautifully decorated.

7. Thai people’s traditional costume: Black Thai person wears black clothes while white clothes wear white clothes. Most Thai traditional clothes are made from silk with some various decorations.
8. Buyei people’s traditional costume: women wear skirts decorated by some patterns while men wear some shirts. Bouyei dress is dark and somber with colorful trimmings; ‘best’ clothes come out on festival or market days
