Approving for Project to organize 4th Hanoi International Film Festival

(Cinet)- Decision No.1058/QĐ-BVHTTDL on March 23 of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism relates to approve for Projec to organize the fourth Hanoi International Film Festival.
Accordingly, the fourth Hanoi International Film Festival will take place on 5 days on November 01-05.
Themed “Cinema- Integration and Sustainable Development”, the festival aims to enhance friendship and cooperation between filmmakers and guests.
The fourth Hanoi International Film Festival honours some works that is home to some best cinema, high value and creation; encourages some new talents of cinema. In addition, developing a cooperation among some film-makers, representatives and guests for cinema development; introducing some best works of cinema has been enhanced.
The fourth HANIFF will include competitions, HANIFF campus, a film project campus, conferences and exhibitions.
Cinema Department is responsible for proposing to establish the Direction Board, the Organization Board, the Jury; build the Project; Chatter; establish the budget to organize the film festival and submit to the leader of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for an approval. Expense is from budget 2016 of Cinema Department and socialized expenses.
15 other sectors also participate into the festival comprise International Cooperation Department, Vietnam Film Institute; Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports; Hanoi Tourism Department; Vietnam Cinema Association and other cinema sectors.
Atop award worth 5,000 USD presented for the best feature film, the festival also honours other cinematographic works with awards for best short film, best feature film director, best actors and actresses in leading roles, best film on an urban topic and others.
The festival is expected to attract public attention, create momentum for the Vietnamese film industry and give opportunities to enlarge the Vietnamese film market and popularise the country’s tourism.
Hanoi Film Festival is highly appreciated an important channel to introduce Vietnam’s picture through Hanoi capital- a city for peace with beautiful country and friendly people.
