Organizers distribute 15,000 fireworks tickets

Organizers of Danang International Firework Festival will distribute 15,000 festival tickets to travel firms to sell throughout Vietnam from March 5.

Seventy thousand visitors are expected to come the March 27-28 festival, with tickets selling for VND200,000 (US$11).

The city is building a new grandstand with 25,000 seats, expected to be completed March 20.

So far there have been heavy bookings, but rooms were still available at the city’s 142 guesthouses and 170 hotels.

The Hanoi Redtour tour company is offering a three-day tour, for VND1.8 million ($99) per person not including airfares, to the festival plus visits to the Son Tra peninsula, the old US radar station, Ban Co Mountain and Ba Na.

Vietravel Hanoi has a three-day tour to the festival that includes visits to tourist sites like the Han River swing-bridge, Son Tra peninsula, But, My Khe and Con beaches and Hoi An ancient town.

Saigontourist has tours from HCM City to Danang for three days, priced from VND2-2.7 million per ($110-140) person, not including air tickets. Visitors can join the tour from Hanoi to Danang, Hoi An and Ba Na, also for three days, at a cost of VND2.3 million ($110) per person.
