(Cinet)- Department of Cultural Heritage has officially sent documents to relic museums nationwide and suggested units in coordination with Institute of Science and Crime conducting a secretly marking program for valuable and rare antiques and relics, strengthening antiques’ protection work and identifying the origin of ones when the risk occurs.

This is a secretly marking method for various valuable and rare antiques with special chemical which is smell and invisible in normal eyes. Each marking is archived with necessary data like year, design e.g. in computers. The expiry time is 50 years.

Making antiques’ secret helps to stop “drain” and solve the hunting of the original antiques. Up to now, Vietnam is the first country to use this method
