Outstanding artists honoured with People’s Artist, Meritorious Artist titles

(MOCST)- State President, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on August 12 signed a decision to award titles of People’s Artist and Meritorious Artist to 391 artists.

Three among the honoured artists this year is Artist Minh Vuong, Thanh Tuan, Giang Chau

Accordingly, five “People’s Artist” titles and 8 “Meritorious Artist” titles were presented to artists who were dead. Other 79 “People’s Artist” titles and 299 “Meritorious Artist” titles were offered to nominees who have outstanding contribution to the building and development of the national culture.

These titles are the State’s most noble awards for artists in recognition of their talents as well as dedication and contributions to the country’s arts sector.
