Vietnam - Singapore share experiences in the field of museum

On July 22nd, in Hanoi, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and National Museum of Singapore co-organized the Seminar of "Research, Collect, Display and Management of Museum Collection".

This is an activity within the framework of 5-years cooperation (2014-2019) on the areas of professional museums between two sides. The seminar attracted the participation of experts at National Museum of Singapore, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and museums in Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

At the seminar, participants shared their experiences and discussed many issues related to research and exhibition; develop and collect artifacts; share experiences around copyright and digitalization; works of governing and researching.
In addition, the participants also updated their experiences in managing and preserving artifacts, applying advance technology into management of information, location of artifacts, preserving collections, assessing the risks that may occur when transporting artifacts ...
Participants had in-depth discussions on the areas of exhibiting, packaging and transporting artifacts; storing and digitizing data.
Despite of 4 years operation, National Museum of Singapore has become one of the leading art museums in the world. In particular, the museum owns a team of leading experts in the field of museums and fine arts of the region as well as the world as well as experts in the fields of research, collection, display and management of collections.
This seminar is also an opportunity for domestic museums, especially art museums, to access to a model of advanced and modern art museum such as National Museum of Singapore.
