The first copy in Korean of popular “Dang Thuy Tram’s Diary” will officially come out in the Republic of Korea on January 15, said the Viet Nam-RoK Friendship Association.
The translation version will be entitled “Last Night I Dreamed of Peace” like what was published in the
“Last Night I Dreamed of Peace” has 288 pages and a circulation of 2,000 copies. The translation was done by Kyong Hwan, who had translated the late President Ho Chi Minh’s “Diaries in the Prison” and legendary “Kieu Stories” into Korean.
The original diaries recorded memories of a young female surgeon who served in the frontline and was killed by US bombings in an underground military medical station.
