(Cinet)- On January 3rd , The Ho Chi Minh Youth Communist League, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, held the Summarizing and Award Ceremony for “The First 2007 Young Nonprofessional Information Technology Contest” at the Opera House, Hanoi. Minister of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Mr Hoang Tuan Anh, Mr. Lam Phuong Thanh, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Communist League were present at the event.

This is the first time such a contest for Information Technology has been held, for not only the young nonprofessionals in general but also for the members of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In addition, the contest is not just a competition but a festival for the people who are interested in IT. It is the measure of the quality and effectiveness of the IT popularization and enhancement among the units of the Ministry in the past time.

Among the website design awards, a special prize was given to the Youth Union Branch of IT Center under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, one First Prize was granted to the Youth Union Branch of The Ministry Office, one Second Prize to the Youth Union Branch of the Institute of Relics Reservation.

For the IT Application, 10 First, 15 Second, 20 Third and 31 motivation Prizes was awarded to eligible individuals.

It is said that in the future, the Youth Union will propose to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism a program to push the movement of “Creativity among the Young People” and “IT Popularization, Knowledge Connection” for the young and members of the Youth Union.
