The documentary “Craft village story” won the highest award of the 3rd National Festival for Environmental Films, “Vietnam Green”, at the awards ceremony held in Hanoi on January 9.

Thirty-two other films were presented the first, second, third and consolation prizes.
According to organizers, most of the films participating in the festival are about forest protection, poaching, destructive fishing and shrimping, pollution of river and craft villages, safe water, environmental hygiene, the use of pesticides, food safety, etc.
Some experts say the past three festivals haven’t featured any outstanding films that can significantly impact society. Film producers don’t consider the environment a significant topic.
Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment Pham Khoi Nguyen said the festival will be held every three years to honor directors, producers, individuals and organizations who pay attention to the environment.
