The performance tour of 23 circus artists of HCM City in Taiwan will start on January 31, said Ho Van Thanh, Head of the HCM City Circus Troupe.
This is the first time HCM City circus artists performing in this territory. The 23 artists will be divided into two troupes. The first five-member troupe will make a performance tour in Taipei City and some other places within two months, from January to the end of February, 2008. The second troupes will perform in other locations in Taiwan from February till the end of June.
Thanh said that Taiwan has invited HCM City circus artists several times and they promised to cover the whole expenses for the tour as well as give high pays for Vietnamese artists. A troupe of nine circus artists will come to Taiwan in late 2008, he added.
In the past five years, HCM City Circus Troupe has performed in almost all cities in France and some places in Belgium. Besides their own performances, they joined shows with Russian, French, American, Portuguese, Italian and Kenyan colleagues in France.
