Ha Noi Capital City has decided to hold a festival on January 13 to mark the count-down to the millennium anniversary, which is 1,000 days left.

Entitled “A Moment of Thang Long-Dong Do-Ha Noi,” the single-day event has a heavy agenda such as a Ha Noi-Millennium logo designing contest and launch of a “To the future generations” museum designing contest.
Festivities will include traditional festivals, rituals, performances by folk dragon dancing troups and traditional parades around the history-rich Hoan Kiem (Sword Return)
Lake , with an expected participation of thousands of people.
Streets around Hoan Kiem lake will be lined up with open exhibitions of Ha Noi today and the past. On display will be 180 large-sized images taken from archives, including pictures and paintings by French authors.
There will be a fashion show of old designs dating back to early 1990s.
Ha Noi residents’ daily lives in the previous century will also be restored through traditional food markets, traditional crafts villages, folk games and folk song performances.
