(Cinet)- Vinh Long is is a province located in the Mekong Delta of southern Vietnam. Its capital is Vĩnh Long. Its population is 1,046,390 and its area is 1,475 km².
 
 
Vinh Long is close to the Tien River in the North. It is bordered on the north by Tien Giang; on the southwest by Can Tho; on the northeast by Ben Tre; on the northwest by Dong Thap. Vinh Long is a province located in the Mekong River Delta of southern Vietnam. Its capital is Vinh Long. Its population is 1.023.400 and its area is 1.475 km2.
Cultural Heritage and Tourism
Vinh Long is home to 450 relics, including 10 relics recognized as national relics of culture and history and 32 provincial relics of culture and history.
Vinh Long is the gateway to river islands and some worthwhile sites, including the Cai Be floating market, orchards and homestays – which can be a highlight of a Mekong journey.
Coming to there, visitors have chance to walk among the trees, relax in hammocks, try all kinds of delicious tropical fruits in the gardens of An Binh and Binh Hoa Phuoc islands. Several popular places are Mr. Sau Giao's Flower Garden, Mr. Muoi Day's Stilt-House, and Mr. Hai Hoang's Old House.

Vinh Long has many pagodas, communal houses such as Van Thanh Temple, Long Thanh Communal House, Tinh Xa Ngoc Vien, Phuoc Hau, Tien Chau, Saghamangala pagodas.
Cicada is best provided from Vinh Long. This kind of the food are harmless bug for farmers. Their bodies contain kitin which is one of ingredient for treating cold, cough, flu and some other sick.  The cicada in Vinh Long is bigger more delicious and fatty than others. 
Performing Arts
“Don ca tai tu”  is a typical form of music in the Southern Vietnam in general and in Vinh Long province in particular.
UNESCO’s recognition of Don Ca Tai Tu as an Intangible Cultural Heritage acknowledges the heritage’s uniqueness and its widespread influence in the southern region. This is also a prerequisite to preserve and utilize heritage values for socio-economic development, particularly in tourism and culture.

Don Ca Tai Tu has proved its vitality, being performed at weddings, death anniversaries, birthday celebrations, and public gatherings. Musicians play traditional instruments, including a two-stringed guitar called a Dan Kim, to accompany singers who carry the audience through different tones of emotion.
Vinh Long Province is situated between the Tien and the Hau rivers. Here the soil is rich in alluvium, favourable for rice and fruit cultivation. The majority of inhabitants engage in farming, the remaining on small enterprises.
