(Cinet)- Quang Ngai is located in Central Vietnam, at an almost equal distance from the two ends of the country. Like other provinces in this area, Quang Ngai is characterized as having mountains on one side and the sea on the other. The population consists of a majority of Kinh people.

The province had a population of 1,219,200 in 2009. Around 40% is concentrated in Quang Ngai City and the two districts just north and south of it (Son Tinh and Tu Nghia), where population density ranges from over 500 to 3600/km²). Population density in most of coastal Quang Ngai is around 400/km². The five western districts have population densities of less than 100/km², three of them (Tay Tra, Son Tay and Ba Tu) even less than 50/km².

Quang Ngai province is 833km from Hanoi on National Highway 1. Its provincial capital also called Quang Ngai was built by the Tra Khuc River, and lot of its ancient features still remain.
The province is surrounded by Truong Son Mountains on one side and the East Sea on the other. As a result, the topography includes mountains, plains, seaside and offshore islands. The main rivers are Tra Khuc, Tra Bong, and Ve rivers. 
Quang Ngai is famous for the cultural vestiges of Chau Sa Citadel, Ong and Mai Son pagodas. The beautiful landscapes are An Mountain, Thien An Mountain and Tra Khuc River, Co Luy Commune under coconut trees, Sa Huynh and My Khe beaches. 
Performing Arts
The gongs and folk songs of ethnic minorities are typical folk song in Quang Ngai province. The participating artisans are from H’re, Cor and Cadong ethnic groups in six mountainous districts of Son Tay, Son Ha, Tra Bong, Tay Tra, Ba To and Minh Long. Festival of gongs and folk-songs 2014  has been organized in the province to keep alive the unique cultural value of these groups
Destination
Quang Ngai is famous for the cultural vestiges of Sa Huynh, Chau Sa Citadel, Ong Pagoda, Mai Son Pagoda, and Ba Gia Battlefields. Sa Huynh Beach is well-known with clear water, golden sand and pine trees. My Khe Beach is the most beautiful beach in Central Vietnam. It has fined white powdery sand, gently waves and poplars forest. Coming to there, tourists have chance to visit old battlefields with popular names like Ba To, Tra Bong, Ba Gia, Van Tuong and Son My. 
In 2012, 4 best delicious Food of Quang Ngai are accepted in Vietnamese Guinness. They are Don, mirror candy with peanuts, braised Trà’s goby and Trà Bồng cinnamon.In 4 of these foods, I just had chance to enjoy mirror candy with peanuts. This candy is made by sugar and it has transparent color that you could see through the candy.
