(Cinet)- Binh Thuan is a province of Vietnam. It is located on the country's South Central Coast, far from Ho Chi Minh City about 200 kilometers in the Northeast. It is sometimes seen as part of the Southeast region. Bình Thuận borders Lâm Đồng Province in the north, Ninh Thuận Province in the north-east, and Đồng Na and Ba Ria–Vung Tau provinces in the west.
Politically, Binh Thuan is divided into eight districts: Tuy Phong, Bac Binh, Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Thuan Nam, Tanh Linh, Ham Tan, Đuc Linh, Phu Quy. The provincial capital, Phan Thiết, is a separate municipality - as well as the town of La Gi. The province covers an area of 8,115.67 square kilometers and it had the population of 1,180,300 people ( Satistic data in 2011). Apart from the majority Kinh, there are several ethnic minorities in the province. Some Cham communities are in the coastal regions of eastern Binh Thuan. Other minorities mainly inhabit the mountainous regions along the border to Lam Đong Province.They include Co Ho and Ra Glai.

The Po Sah Inu tower complex

Much of what is now Binh Thuan Province was part of the Cham principality of Panduranga, which had its political centre in neighbouring Ninh Thuận Province. Binh Thuan owned the Champa old- age cultural basement so this province is famous for the Po Sah Inu tower complex, Po Klong Mơhnai and over 100 Champa royal precious objects.

Every year, vast of traditional festivals take place in Binh Thuan, inclunding : Boat Racing Festival on Ca Ty River (on the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year) , Ta Cu mountain climbing, running cross-country in Mui Ne sand-hill, Lantern parade in Mid-autumn with a huge scale , Nghing Ong Festival( in the lunar seventh month ) , especially, Kate Festival of the Cham people…
Besides, Binh Thuan is one of 21 provinces and cities where the music and song of southern Viet Nam was mushrooming strongly. Now, in the whole province, there are over 20 singing bands and clubs attracted about 250 members. Especially, the music and song of southern Viet Nam singing movement is handled regularly in  Bac Binh, Duc Linh, Tanh Linh districts as well as Phan Thiet city.

Binh Thuan has many tourism potentials, among them, the beautiful sea of Tien Thanh-Ham Thuan Nam which attracts a lot of tourists. different from golden sand dunes of Mui Ne, its red sand dunes and rock beaches create charming natural picture. Binh Thuan is one of 10 typical tourism events of 2014 voted by newspaper reporters vote in the news conference about tourism operate in 2014 of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. This event has continued to confirm that Mui Ne – Binh Thuan is an attractive destination for many domestic and foreign visitors.
Along with the journey around Binh Thuan, visitors can’t pass over Mui Ne - Hon Rom, Doi Duong - Thuong Chanh, Suoi Tien, Bau Trang, Ta Cu mountainous pagoda, Bien lac lake, Da stream, Vinh Hao hot spring...
