Hai Van Pass named among world’s supercharging road trips for tourists

According to the website, Hai Van Pass offers a shorter yet world-renowned drive, winding through lush green mountains with sweeping views of the South China Sea, known locally as the East Sea.

“Mist often adds a mysterious beauty to the landscape. Many travellers combine the pass with stops in Hoi An and the beaches of central Vietnam. The route is about 150 kilometres, making it a perfect day trip”, it noted.

The site, which literally means “Ocean Cloud Gate” and is dubbed as “The world’s most marvelous wonder,” is a most scenic hillside road in Vietnam which is very popular with travellers and bikers from all over the world.

Rounding off the list of top supercharging road trips for tourists included Pacific Coast Highway of the US, Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive of the US, Hokkaidō Drives of Japan, Ladakh Highways of India, Mae Hong Son Loop of Thailand, East Coast Highway 11 of Taiwan (China), Karakoram Highway of Pakistan, and Jeju Island of the Republic of Korea.
