The most anticipated event of the National Day is the official ceremony taking place on the morning of September 9 with the participation of a high-ranking delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and especially Princess Tsuguko representing the Japanese Royal Family.

Referring to the theme of the Vietnam Exhibition House at EXPO 2025, Mr. Koga hopes that the Vietnam Exhibition House will contribute to spreading the message and image of Vietnam to Japanese friends and the world.

"Vietnam National Day at EXPO 2025 takes place right in the historic September days, when the Vietnamese people solemnly celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam," said Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long. The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized that Vietnam and Japan have high political trust, similarities in culture, history and people, long-standing people-to-people exchanges and the cooperation framework of "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World".
On that basis, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his belief that the Vietnam-Japan friendship and cooperation will enter a new stage of development that is more comprehensive, strategic and profound in all areas, for the benefit of the people of the two countries, for peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

For the first time, Japanese audiences were able to admire the performance of Vietnamese traditional costumes throughout historical periods. Other activities such as the Vietnam-Japan trade event, heritage photo exhibition, enjoying Vietnamese tea ceremony, and experiencing making toy figurines… attracted tens of thousands of people.
The Vietnam National Day ended with a reception hosted by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung with the participation of Mr. Takebe Tsutomu, Special Advisor to the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Parliamentary Alliance and many other high-ranking guests.
At the event, Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that at EXPO 2025, Vietnam not only wants to introduce impressive socio-economic achievements but also convey unique cultural values, humanistic spirit and the beauty of the Vietnamese people's souls. "The exhibition space creatively combines tradition and modernity, helping the Vietnam Exhibition House become a vivid experience in the heart of EXPO, demonstrating the spirit of "Comprehensive society with people at the center" that Vietnam brings to EXPO this time", said Minister Nguyen Van Hung.
The art program opening Vietnam National Day made a deep impression on Japanese and international audiences.Taking place right after the official ceremony, the art program opening Vietnam National Day led the audience on an emotional journey of Vietnamese culture - from traditional values to contemporary colors, from the unique Vietnamese identity to the desire to integrate internationally and reach out to the world.
Some special performances include Bac Ninh Quan Ho, Ba Chua Xu Festival Tray Dance, contemporary puppetry, Central Highlands folk music, Aria "Dan Bau" in the opera "Princess Anio" - a symbol of Vietnam - Japan cultural cooperation, or Diva My Linh's powerful voice in the classic song "If we hold on together"
The afternoon program "Rang sang Viet Nam" continued to stir up the National Day Theater with the appearance of My Anh, a young artist with a creative and international spirit through two English songs with a modern breath composed by herself.


In addition, at the EXPO Parade on the occasion of National Day and the program "Vietnamese Culture" on the outdoor stage, for the first time at a World Exhibition, Vietnamese traditional costumes through historical periods were recreated by designer Coco Nguyen with the performance of models who are excellent representatives of the Vietnamese community living and studying in Japan.
The art programs within the framework of Vietnam National Day were organized under the artistic direction of People's Artist Tran Ly Ly, with the participation of many leading art units such as: Vietnam National Academy of Music, Vietnam Puppetry Theatre, Bac Ninh Cheo Theatre, Dam San Music and Dance Theatre, along with famous artists such as People's Artist Co Huy Hung, Meritorious Artist of Dan Bau Le Giang, Meritorious Artist of Bamboo Flute Hoang Anh, Meritorious Artist Pham Khanh Ngoc, Dao To Loan, singer My Linh... to young, contemporary names such as My Anh...

Within the framework of National Day, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the Vietnam - Japan Trade Forum, gathering dozens of typical enterprises of the two countries. The products displayed and introduced were in many fields: spare parts - components, clean fuel, food, handicrafts, etc.
The event is an important opportunity to promote investment cooperation between the two economies, in the context that the two countries are members of three bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements (FTAs), and the economic relations between the two countries are increasingly deepening.

After nearly 5 months of opening, the Vietnam Exhibition House welcomes from 9,000 to more than 12,000 visitors every day - considered one of the most popular type B exhibition houses. The Exhibition House has welcomed many high-ranking Japanese and international delegations as well as many domestic delegations. One of the highlights of the Exhibition House is the daily water puppet and traditional music performances (4 performances/day).

Vietnam Exhibition House regularly organizes performances at outdoor stages at different locations within the EXPO 2025 campus and exchange performances with a number of other national exhibition houses (Saudi Arabia, USA, Malaysia, Portugal, Thailand...).
Compared to previous EXPOs, at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, in addition to introducing traditional music, Vietnam Exhibition House has coordinated with partners such as Honda Vietnam, Hoiana Resort & Golf, Vietjet... to invite a number of artists of other art forms, especially young artists to perform at EXPO 2025 to create opportunities for international exposure and performance such as saxophone artist Taruki Sax, opera singer Trang Bui, Dao To Loan, Meritorious Artist Pham Khanh Ngoc, yosakoi dance troupe Nui Truc...
