Like many other ethnic groups, the Cotu people consider marriage an important event not only for a family but also for the whole village. The Cotu in Quang Nam province have preserved a unique pre-marriage custom, which highlights the significance of the pure love between a man and a woman.

The M’Nong was one of the first groups to settle in the Central Highlands. They have preserved many unique cultural features of their traditional festivals and folklore including epics, beating gongs, songs, and dance.

The Mong people in Dien Bien province have always upheld their traditional identities including the wedding ritual. The spring is normally the season for Mong people to marry.
