(Cinet) - Well-known model Kha My Van has become the first Vietnamese model to walk down the catwalk at Paris Haute Couture Week 2015.
Van was one of the two Asian models and the 21 girls to take part in the show of haute couture designer Serkan Cura who introduced his elegant, sophisticated and impressive designs in theme colors of black, white, grey and red with materials of lace and feather for the Fall-Winter season.
Serkan Cura, who had four years working for the Parisian fashion house Jean Paul Gaultier, is the man behind the stunning Victoria’s Secret Angel wings of the popular lingerie shows.
After Serkan Cura’s show, Van joined another show by Julien Fournie on July 07 afternoon at the Oratoire du Louvre in Paris. She was also chosen to be in a photoshoot with designer Fournie to give a preview of his Fall 2015 collection at the Bir-Hakeim bridge, on the river Seine at night.
Previously, she was featured in Vogue Italia magazine and France’s L’Officiel magazine in March.
After the Paris Fashion Week, Van will get back to Milan under her contract with ICE Models until the end of this year.
She was the runner-up at Vietnam Next Top Model 2012 contest. She has participated in various fashion shows in and outside the country.
The French designer praised Van's professional style as well as her confident walk down the catwalk.
"I cannot express my pride in seeing Van open the show by designer Fournie," Le Quynh Trang, chairperson of BeU Models, which manages and trains models, said. "It's no longer a dream, because today the dream came true when a Vietnamese model walked with confidence at the top fashion show."

Lần đầu tiên được góp mặt trong tuần lễ thời trang danh giá được tổ chức tại Paris, Kha Mỹ Vân chứng tỏ được thực lực và tài năng trước dàn mẫu chuyên nghiệp quốc tế.
The Paris Haute Couture Week 2015, held from July 5 to 9, was attended by French and Italian designers such as Giambattista Valli, Giorgio Armani Prive, Schiaparelli, and Versace, besides Valentino.
