The People's Committee of the central city of Da Nang has just deployed a project on developing community tourism in Nam O, in Lien Chieu District, with a total budget of over VND46 billion, VND10.7 billion of which is from the city budget and the remainderis to be mobilised from socialisation sources.
The project aims to make full use of the advantages and potentials of local tourism resources to create new tourism products, and to diversify forms of services and utilities to serve the public interests.
In addition, the project also focuses on tourism exploitation in combination with the conservation of cultural heritage; introducing fishing village practices and products to tourists, forming an area for tourists to explore and experience; and creating favourable conditions for local residents to participate in tourism development.
