French Ambassador presents digitised design of Bao Dai Palace to Lam Dong province

According to the French Ambassador, the digitised copy of the design was a gift from Jacques Veysseyre, the son of French architect Paul Veysseyre.

On the occasion, Veysseyre’s family also presented a portrait of the designer.

At the handover ceremony, the two sides affirmed that the digitised design of the Bao Dai King’s Palace is a valuable document for Da Lat city in particular and Lam Dong in general.

The event will further deepen cooperation between Lam Dong province and theb French Embassy in Vietnam and its partners, contributing to preserving and promoting cultural heritage value, especially French architectural heritage in Da Lat city.

According to Dr. Pham S, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong provincial People’s Committee, Da Lat now possesses around 2,000 villas built in a European style, from the first half of the twentieth century.

The province has always focused on the preservation and promotion of the value of these unique architectural works. The Bao Dai Palace (also called Palace No.3) is one of the most famous such works in Da Lat.
