Art performing festival to mark Reunification Day

(Cinet)- The Department of Grassroots Culture will organize a mass art performance festival in Ho Chi Minh city and the central province of Quang Tri to celebrate the country's Reunification Day on April 30.

The festival expects to celebrate the 40th anniversary of southern liberation and national unification (April 30th), the 125th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth (May 19th) and grassroots party congress toward the 12th National Party Congress.

In Ho Chi Minh city, the festival will attract the participation of artistic groups from Thai Binh, Lao Cai, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Quang Nam, Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa and Binh Thuan provinces, and Hanoi  from April 10th to 13th. A part from art performances in Ho Chi Minh city and its surrounding provinces, there will be an incense offering to President Ho Chi Minh at Ho Chi Minh museum, and a post exhibition at 23/9 park, district 1, Ho Chi Minh city.

In Quang Tri province, the festival will take place in some provinces from Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Kon Tum, Tien Giang, Binh Dinh, Thua Thien – Hue and Quang Tri provinces and Da Nang city from April 17th to 20th. There will be also a poster exhibition like in Ho Chi Minh city and homage to Truong Son martyrs’ cemetery.
