The biggest-ever kite festival in the North drew over 100 kite artisans from across the country as well as teams from Canada, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia to showcase nearly 500 kites. Each country has brought traditional, aerodynamic, artistic and man-lifting kites in their own style to the festival.
One of the top kite flyers in the world, Lam Gia Hoac, a Vietnamese national currently living in Canada, treated visitors to his fine-crafted kites and skilful demonstration.

Winner of the Vung Tau International Kite Festival 2013, Nguyen Truong Huy is among the festival’s participants.
Visitors can witness 100m-long kites flying in the sky, worth nearly VND200 million, controlled by Vietnamese artisans, and learn how to make their own kites from kite artisans.
The festival takes place from 8am until 5pm daily from April 30 to May 3.
