Manzi
Opened in 2012, Manzi is an exhibition space, a café, a cinema, a lecture space and even more – depends on whatever need of the community at any particular time. Located in a central yet quiet corner in the old quarter of Hanoi, Manzi aims to provide a relaxed atmosphere to its clients, at the same time promote local arts and culture. Manzi’s activities are usually linked with local artists, academics, writers and social activists. Many exhibitions of emerging and established artists, including Nguyen Manh Hung have been organized here.

Nha San Collective
Nha San Collective is a new version of Nha San studio, the first artist-led and non-profit initiative to run in Vietnam after its unofficial closing in 2010. Operated by a group of young local artists, Nha San Collective continues the mission of Nha San studio to build a stable structure for contemporary art to grow in Vietnam. Situated in a young, hip and cool part of the city, the space provides material and emotional support to local contemporary artists passionate about exploring the here and now.

DOCLAB
Supported by the Goethe Institut Hanoi, DOCLAB is an exhibition/ cinema space that focuses on video art and documentary film-making. Highly relevant to the contemporary trend of experimental documentary-making, this space has attracted immense interest since its being founded in 2009. DOBLAC also offers courses on top of workshops and discussion groups, for students of video work. Screenings of local video artists’ films, such Ngo Thi Thanh, and accompanying discussions are hosted by the space, and are open to visitors and students alike.
Work room four
Four expats from the UK shared the same idea and belief that Hanoi needed a dedicated environment that would provide a workspace and creative hub for people of all ages and walks of life to share and enjoy. That’s how Work room four was established in 2013. Aims to pull together the threads of creative endeavors across Vietnam, Work room four’s new studio sitting on the 23th floor above the bustle of Hanoi is an ideal space for creatives, learners and educators. The studio offers art courses for both adults and kids; space for exhibitions, shows, talks and events; design consultancy and even a small corner for art loving shoppers.

The famous Goethe Institut is not only the most prestigious German training school in Hanoi but also plays a major role in the local visual arts community. Film festivals, classical music concerts and visual arts exhibitions occur alongside dance programs with a global and/or Vietnamese/German exchange initiative.
Some programs include artists from nations as diverse as Israel, Japan and Britain. The Institut provides visitors and locals with the rare opportunity for world-renowned work to be seen in an intimate atmosphere.

Another language training institution like The Goethe Institut, l’Institut Français de Hanoï also provides a number of different means of cultural exchange. Located in a five-floor building in the heart of Hanoi, the space hosts concerts, film screening, lectures, meetings, talks, readings, dramatic performances and exhibitions. The programming is extensive and immensely varied, marking this space as a significant contributor to Hanoi's cultural scene.
