Bac Lieu Bird ground - the main point attractions  of the province.

(Cinet)- Bac Lieu is a province of Viet Nam . It is  a coastal province and is situated in the MeKong Delta region of the southern part of the country. Bac Lieu covers an area of 2,585.3 square kilometers and it had a population of 873,300 people. It is a home to many ethnic groups, including : Vietnamese, Chinese, Kh’mer, Cham,… It is divided into one separate municipality Bac Lieu and 6 dictricts with 63 rural communes, wards and towns.
Mother Nature didn’t favour much for Bac Lieu’s natural scenery but the province owned the worthy intangible cultural heritage Music and Song of southern Viet Nam ( Đon ca tai tu). The heritage is attached the famous musicians Cao Van Lau with the song “ Dạ Co Hoai Lang” … In addition, there are some tourism locations attracted many visitors like Bac Lieu Bird Ground, Longan garden, Bac Lieu Mandarin’s son House, Mat House Tourism area, …
Cultural and Tourism Resources
Covering an area of 160 hectares , a huge Bac Lieu Bird ground situated in the place far from the center of the province about 3 kilometers, counted as one of the minimum natural bird grounds in the world. The bird ground is home to over 40 bird species with 60,000 individuals. Many endanged species was born and bred here , including stork, night heron, Sumatra heron, Cormorant, … The Ground is the main point attractions as well as famous locations of the province.  

Longan garden and Bac Lieu Bird ground always charmed as well as fascinated a huge amount of visitors

Longan garden located parallel with the beach, far from the center of the township about 6 kilometers, covered an area of 50 hectares. It fascinated visitors by the specific characteristics namely Hundred- year ancient Longan stump, breathing fresh air as well as hearing gentle melodies of Music and Song of southern Viet Nam.
Mat House – Bodhisattva of Mercy Tourism area situated in the Nha Mat precinct, Bac Lieu township, is being invested to build in an area of 98.5 hectares. In the future, the tourism arer is expected to become an ecotourism associated with festival tourism, encompassed the system of modern hotels and entertainment spots. Bodhisattva of Mercy Tourism area is belonged to Mat House Tourism area, where the Bodhisattva of Mercy statue standing 11 meters in height located in. “Nam Hai Bodhisattva of Mercy” festival is annually handled from 23 to 25 March Lunar Calendar, attracted to thousands of visitors to fo on a pilgrimage.

Mandarin’s son House and Music and Song of southern Viet Nam are specific characteristics in Bac Lieu

Coming to visit Bac Lieu, Visitors can not pass over the name “Bac Lieu Mandarin’s son” – a man famous for richness as well as playing ducks and drakes with his money. Bac Lieu Mandarin’s son House located in precinct 3, Bac Lieu township , was builed in 1919 following the west art. Allmost all material used to construct his house is moved from French to Viet Nam. Now, the house is knowns as Bac Lieu Mandarin’s son Restaurant – Hotel with many delicious dishes, including Chili Beef vermicelli ( bun bo cay), fish vermicelli (bun ca), Vietnamese crepe, hot pot are cooked by the special way.
