Vietnam has attended the 2008 International Orchid Exhibition in Japan. Orchid are considered the queen of flowers and very favoured in this country.
“Socialising” or diversifying cultural activities, including stageworks is a major task of the cultural sector in order to attract increased resources from the whole of society to the field. At present, stage activities are facing difficulties with fewer and fewer audiences and lack of interesting plays, therefore, a renewal of the stage based performing arts is becoming an ever urgent task. However, there should be an awareness and appropriate method in the implementation of increased diversification of stage performance arts.
Following Kenya’s ratification of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in October 2007, the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Gender, Sports, Culture and Social Services and the UNESCO Office in Nairobi are jointly convening a two-day meeting on the implementation of the Convention From 05 To 06-03-2008 in Nairobi – Kenya.
The National Steering Committee for the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long has introduced the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi in the 2008-2010 period, including the great anniversary to be held at the National Convention Center and Ba Dinh square on November 10th, 2010.
