Archaeologists have uncovered the largest architectural foundations ever found in Vietnam at Kinh Thien Palace, the major part of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, revealing six cultural layers spanning more than a millennium.

An exhibition entitled “Vietnamese cultural heritage – vitality from tradition to modernity” opened on December 25 in Ho Chi Minh.

Building on the strong recovery in 2025, when Viet Nam welcomed an estimated 21.5 million international visitors, the tourism sector has set an ambitious target of attracting 25 million foreign arrivals in 2026.
