Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy met UNICEF Representative Rana Flowers

(MOCST)- On Jun 22, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy had a meeting with UNICEF Representative in  Viet Nam Rana Flowers. Attending the meeting, on the side of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, there were Ms. Tran Tuyet Anh - Director of Family Department, Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang - Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department and Ms. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of Hotel Department (Vietnam National Administration of Tourism).

Aim to enhance the cooperation between Ministry of Culture and UNICEF, Deputy Minister Thuy and Ms Flowers discussed various important topics on culture, sports, tourism, family etc.
Also on this occasion, Deputy Director of Hotel Department Nguyen Thanh Binh introduced the results of an international project launched by Vietnam National Administration of Tourism on children sexual abuse prevention through tourism activities
According to Ms. Flowers, this November, UNICEF is about to start a new campaign called “To make Vietnam more beautiful” which helps to raise awareness on reducing waste in tourism places. Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy highly appreciated the initiative of UNICEF and asked Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Family Department to coordinate with UNICEF to carry out this campaign.
