Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien presents the V.League Cup champion to Hanoi FC

(MOCST)- On November 6, the “V.League Awards 2019” gala night honored the collective and individual who have made positive contributions to V.League, was held in Hanoi.

Nguyen Quang Hai (Hanoi FC) was honoured as the best player of the 2019 V.League. This was a well-deserved reward for the 22-year-old midfielder who has contributed significantly to the capital team’s stunning double this season, with their second successive V.League crown and their first-ever National Cup trophy in history.
Quang Hai’s former Hanoi teammate, Doan Van Hau, who is currently playing for SC Heerenveen in the Netherlands, was named the best young player of the 2019 V.League in recognition of his impressive showing when he was still playing in the Hanoi FC jersey.

In addition, both Quang Hai and Van Hau made the best XI of the 2019 V.League season, together with goalkeeper Tran Nguyen Manh (Song Lam Nghe An); defenders Ho Tan Tai (Becamex Binh Duong), Bui Tien Dung (Viettel) and Nguyen Huu Tuan (Ho Chi Minh City); midfielders Mac Hong Quan (Quang Ninh Coal) and Tran Minh Vuong (Hoang Anh Gia Lai); and forwards Nguyen Van Quyet (Hanoi FC), Nguyen Van Toan (Hoang Anh Gia Lai) and Pape Omar Faye (Hanoi FC).
At the ceremony, the Republic of Korean tactician Chung Hae-seong was honoured as the best manager of the 2019 V.League after helping HCM City to finish in second place overall, a surprising result even to local fans.
Meanwhile, the “Golden Boot” award was shared by two foreign strikers, namely Bruno Cunha Cantanhede (Viettel) and Pape Omar Faye (Hanoi FC), who had scored 15 goals each after 26 V.League matchdays.
The “Golden Whistle”, “Silver Whistle” and “Bronze Whistle” awards for the best referees of the season were presented to Hoang Ngoc Ha, Ngo Duy Lan and Nguyen Dinh Thai, respectively.
