(Cinet)- Deputy Prime Minister requires ministries of: Culture, Sports and Tourism; Police, National Defense; People Committee in provinces and cities directly under the central Government to strictly tackle the negative affairs, violence in sport competitions since Jan 2008; to clarify responsibilities of government management offices on gymnastic and sport, responsibilities of Organism in charge of sport clubs, sport associations, host offices for organizing sport competitions, office in charge of security, set up strict punishment, discipline to units as well as individuals who infringe; report to Deputy minister before 15 June 2008.
MCST preside over and cooperates with other relevant Departments, Branches and research sport associations to evaluate the risks and reasons of violence in sport competitions. On the base of that we will deploy the most comprehensive and determined measures to ensure that violence in sport no longer happens again especially before and after the competitions. If without the commitment of no violence from Organizing Board, competitors, representative of local authority, it is not allowed to organize the competitions.
MCST presses over and cooperates with other relevant Departments, Branches and research sport associations to set up new rules on management of sport competition in order to basically prevent violence in sport, promulgate through jurisdiction or propose to competent level before 31 July 2008
