(Cinet)- At the Department of Exhibition, Photography and Fine Arts, Deputy Minister Le Tien Tho has recently chaired a hand-over meeting in May of the State management agencies governed by Deputy Minister.
At the meeting, on behalf of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Minister Le Tien Tho assigned to Department of Cinema for carrying out construction work of Cinema Planning until 2020 under the project progress; Conducting procedures for setting up a Draft Committee of Cinema Law (amendment); Perfecting a Circular guiding Decree No. 96/NĐ-CP dated 6th June 2007 of the Government stipulating detailed policies to proceed with some Articles of Cinema Law; Being interested in directing the production of films: “Con Dao in the historical process”, “1C - a legendary road” and others ordered by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to ensure the implementation of procedure, progress and artistic quality as stated; Suggesting the Department of Cinema sending a feedback document to Hanoi City People’s Committee on the request for appraising the total estimated expense of making films with regard to marking the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi under the current regulations.
At the same time, the Deputy Minister required the Department of Exhibition, Photography and Fine Arts to: Focus on drafting and completing the state management documents in the fields of photography and fine arts, for example Regulations for sculptural creativity Centers, Fine Arts Development Planning until 2020, Monument Planning for Celebrities…; Supervise and lead many domestic and international exhibitions of culture and arts; Promptly submit a Projection on promoting works of literature and arts under the spiritual guidance of the Central Propaganda Committee to Leaders of the Ministry.
The Department proposed numerous recommendations such as granting cars and some new equipment in replace of degraded ones which couldn’t meet the demands of professional work; asking the Office to handing over several valuable pictures to the Department for management and display….The Department should make a report and recommendation to the Ministry for settlement.
As for the Department of Performing Arts, Deputy Minister suggested the Department should implement a development planning of Vietnam Performing Arts until 2010 approved by Prime Minister at Decision No. 45/2008/QĐ-TTg dated 28th March 2008 (according to the conclusive opinion of Leaders of the Ministry at Notice No.101/TP-VP dated 8th May 2008; Study and propose the amendment of remaining problems in Regulations related to the practical organization of Miss contests at present based on speeches at the general conference of the 2-year implementation of Miss Contest Regulations; Hold a meeting to evaluate these Regulations on performance and a professional performing arts, of which granting working cards for artists (this activity is held in June 2008); Promptly submit a Projection on promoting works of literature and arts under the spiritual guidance of the Central Propaganda Committee to Leaders of the Ministry.
When a Projection for filming 100 famous stage works has been developed, it is important that implementation road be adopted specifically until 2020; Appeal to sponsors on filming and performing works.
The Department of Performing Arts must work with the Department of Staff Organization to propose with Leaders of the Ministry about proper period for handing over the Representative Office of the Department on the Ministry’s Representative Agency in Ho Chi Minh City; develop a cultural and tourist activity Projection at 16 Le Thai To, submitting to Leaders of the Ministry in the end of May 2008
It is necessary to promptly develop and complete the state management documents in the field of performing arts under the implementation progress such as Decree on the activity of Performing Arts; amend and supplement Regulation 55 on publication, export, import, record circulation, stage and Regulation on fashion show….; and make a plan for reporting the Ministry some activities: International Circus Festival, the 2008 Young Dance Festival, traditional Tuong Festival …
