(Cinet)- On 21st April 2008, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a hand-over meeting for Leaders under the Ministry. At the meeting, Minister Hoang Tuan Anh put forward a leading opinion to suggest Leaders of Units and Agencies under the Ministry conducting measures strictly for administration expense reduction, contributing partly to curbing inflation pursuant to the Government’s Guideline.
At the same time, the Minister suggested Leaders of Units should execute a periodical regime of information report under the working regulations of the Ministry and the Government seriously; report, propose and recommend many positive solutions timely to deal with difficulties and ensure the implementation progress of assigned tasks and plans. In addition to regular activities, Department of Planning and Finance was responsible for reporting some key works such as doing practice and savings, and combating waste and corruption; Administrative reform Division reported administrative reform work, the development of projections and documents by Ministry of Politics, Secretariat, the Government, Prime Minister of the Government assigned to the Ministry for performance; Office of General Report
Minister Hoang Tuan Anh also led some specific works as follows:
- Deputy Minister Tran Chien Thang was assigned to direct Department of Cultural Heritage to hold seminars on such major works as preservation, restoration and promotion of cultural heritages; propose mechanisms and solutions to enhance the efficiency of these works in the upcoming periods; identify contents and problems which need amending and supplementing in the Cultural Heritage Law of the National Assembly at the 12th session; guide Department of International Cooperation to research and evaluate comprehensively the voting participation of Ha Long Bay as the world natural wonder.
- Deputy Minister Le Tien Tho was appointed to steer Department of Performing Arts to summarize, research, evaluate stated problems in the seminar generally concerning the Miss Contest; propose ways of amending, supplementing and stipulating new organization regulations for the Miss Contest; hold assistance-appealing meetings for civil projects, including 100 famous stage works of Vietnam and the world; coordinate with the Organizing Board of the 2008 Hue Festival in promptly completing general and detailed scripts for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Hue Festival under the guideline of Leaders of the Ministry and Thua Thien Hue Province .
- Office of the Ministry was nominated to make plans and prepare preliminary reports for the first six months of 2008 by the Industry submitted to the Ministry for approval; implement internal internet for the Ministry’s Agency at 51 Ngo Quyen early; organize the implementation of wearing cards of cadres and officials promptly; use the Ministry’s document draft to encourage locals to hold propaganda campaigns and further develop activities to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi; promote the implementation of administrative expense reduction and control inflation under the guideline of the Government; and facilitate management regulations for the Ministry’s document system.
- Department of Planning and Finance was in charge of executing and reporting periodically to Leaders of the Ministry on the implementation progress of the national target Program and the Ministry’s construction works
- Department of staff Organization was responsible for completing drafts approving regulations, functions, duties, rights and organizing framework of Units under the Ministry; perfecting inter-circular draft with Ministry of Home Affairs to guide state agencies’ organization and apparatus on culture, sports and tourism in locals and title standard for Director and Deputy Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
