Leaders of MCST works with General Department of GS and Department of Environmental Technology and Science

(Cinet)- To further master the scientific research work of General Department of Gyms and Sports such as orienting the development of technological science in the upcoming years, on this afternoon of 22nd May, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Chien Thang worked with Leaders of General Department of Gyms and Sports; Department of Environmental Technology and Science under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Attending the meeting included Vuong Bich Thang – Deputy General Department of Gyms and Sports, Le Quy Phuong – Director of Institute of Gyms and Sports Science and other relevant members.

On behalf of Leaders of General Department of Gyms and Sports, Le Quy Phuong reported a result of scientific research in the last five years. Due to the interest and investment of Committee of Gyms and Sports (formerly), devices supporting scientific and technological researches have been well-equipped, meeting the demands in the following years. Many researched topics bring about high efficiency in serving state management and profession works, contributing to enhancing the achievements of Vietnam Sports on the international arena.

Nevertheless, the scientific research work in the field of Gyms and Sports hasn’t made many remarkable achievements and satisfied the development demand of Gyms and Sports. Therefore, to improve the scientific and technological research works in the field of Gyms and Sports, in the following time, General Department of Gyms and Sports concentrates on further promoting the scientific and technological research works, but first completing promptly three great projections, comprising Enhancing Vietnamese people’s physical fitness and height; Development Strategies for Sports Medicine and Technological Science and Development Strategies for Gyms and Sports until 2015 and orientation until 2020.

 At the same time, all the topics supporting the state management and profession works are being implemented, including producing pep pills to athletes experimentally; completing criteria to assess qualification and enhance athletes’ achievements; carrying out studies to raise athletes’ nutrition and endurance; developing the people’s sports movements, entertainment sports…All these essential and great research topics contribute partly to the development and enhancement of athlete’s competitive achievements.

At the closing ceremony, Deputy Minister Tran Chie Thang ordered Department of Environmental Technology and Science, General Department of Gyms and Sports to revise and identify research topics based on two major tasks, including serving the state management and profession works.
