Besides small embroidered paintings, Vietnamese candidate Minh Thu has brought an ao dai to the Miss World 2007 pageant contest for a charity auction on November 21.

This orange ao dai was designed by Duc Hung, with Ha Long Bay patterns embroidered on the front lap. The colourful ao dai and some embroidered paintings will be sold for charity in Beijing on November 21 evening at an auction organised by the Chinese Red Cross.

The Vietnamese girl was not successful in the Miss Sea sub-contest last Saturday when she was not named in the top 20.

The organising board divided 106 contestants into four groups, Asia-Pacific, America, Northern Europe, Southern Europe, the Caribbean and Africa and Minh Thu is in the fourth group, Asia-Pacific. The top 2-3 beauties of these groups will enter the semi-final round. The top six beauties of the semi-final round will be interviewed to choose the winner.
