(Cinet)- January 17th, 2008, Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Nguyen Danh Thai, had a working session with People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province on planning Tay Son – Binh Dinh Festival.
Representatives from relative Departments and Units under Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and provincial leaders were present at the event.
After Mr. Le Thanh Binh, Vice President of the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh, delivered the plan of the Tay Son – Binh Dinh Festival and the contribution of the members taking parting the working session, Vice Minister Nguyen Danh Thai has come to the conclusion that: an advocative agreement is passed on the 2008 Tay Son – Binh Dinh Festival provided that all the activities must meet the following requirements: The Festival must be capable of reflecting the local identities and specialties; All the activities can connect the three sectors: Culture, Sports and Tourism, combine the folklore and modern cultures to create the festival diversification and attraction.
In details, the following tasks must be done:
1. Relative ministerial Institutes in cooperation with Tay Son – Binh Dinh Festival Management Board work out the detailed plan to promote the image of the country in general and Binh Dinh province and its people in particular to call for more foreign investment and attract tourists to Binh Dinh, contributing to the GDP development of Binh Dinh.
2. Performance Art Department: work out the plan to organize the Dao Tan Nationwide Professional Classical Drama Festival during the time in which the 2008 Tay Son – Binh Dinh Festival is held.
3. Public Sports Department: plan the organization of Nationwide Traditional Martial Art Competition just during the time of the Tay Son – Binh Dinh Festival.
4. Festival activities and programs must be put into careful consideration and well prepared, both the contents and the reflections to avoid possible mistakes.
MCST publicize this program to the People’s Committee, Department of Culture and Information of Binh Dinh and relative institutes to carry out the plans.
