Many relics of Hoi An town, a world cultural heritage, could fall at any time due to being submerged in floods.

Water levers of rivers in Quang Nam province continued to rise, flooding many regions.

In Hoi An, flooding is now at the third alarm level and many streets are submerged.

Two ancient houses numbered 102 and 104 on Bach Dang road are leaning towards the Hoai River at around a 20o angle and they could fall into the water at any time.

Many other relics in the town could also collapse because they have been flooded for many days.

Besides preparing to move locals to safe areas, Hoi An authorities have mobilised over 200 young people to help support over 100 relics.

On November 18, Quang Nam province allocated VND55 billion to districts to prevent flooding.

So far, 222 people have been injured in flooding in Quang Nam province.
