Minister Nguyen Ngoc Thien encourages Vietnamese team ahead 2022 World Cup qualifying round

On the morning of August 30, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien visited the training camp of Vietnam men’s national team ahead of their and coach Park Hang-seo leaving for Thailand to play the opening match in the second round of the 2022 World Cup AFC qualifiers.
 

Coach Park Hang-seo expressed his joy at meeting Minister Nguyen Ngoc Thien.

Accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Le Khanh Hai, Minister Nguyen Ngoc Thien went to the team’s training camp, witnessing their training activities and encouraging coach Park Hang-seo, other coaching staff and team members. Talking to Park Hang-seo, Minister Nguyen Ngoc Thien reiterated the great contributions of the Korean coach to Vietnamese football over the past time.
Welcoming the positive of the players in this training time, the Minister emphasized that Vietnamese football has a chance to touch on the historic milestones.
“The upcoming "battles" of Vietnamese football in the arenas such as Word Cup qualifiers, SEA Games are of great significance and importance. Therefore, the coaching staff and players should try their best for each match to bring glory to the motherland", the Minister said.
Besides, the Minister also expressed his desire that the coaching staff and players should show their will, spirit and identity of Vietnamese people when going abroad.
Thanks to the encouragement of Minister Nguyen Ngoc Thien, coach Park Hang-seo promised: "I and the players will do our best to live up to the expectations of the Vietnamese people."
