VNAT updates information about Sri Lanka security situation

(MOCST)- The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism VNAT informs international travel businesses that they can continue to plan trips for Vietnamese tourists to Sri Lanka as usual.

Recently, VNAT has issued Official Dispatch No. 976 / TCDL-LH signed on July 11st to international travel enterprises relating to security situations in Sri Lanka.

Accordingly to the document, on June 6th, 2019, the interim chargé d'affaires of Sri Lanka to Vietnam had a meeting with the leaders of VNAT. At this meeting, the official informed and confirmed that the current security situation of the country was stable. Currently, many countries as China, India, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden ... eased their travel warnings to Sri Lanka.
Based on these information, the VNAT has informed international travel businesses that it is possible to continue to to plan trips for Vietnamese tourists to Sri Lanka as usual.
The VNAT also recommends that, when organizing overseas tours for Vietnamese tourists, travel agencies have to advise tourists to strictly abide by the rules of law, traditions and customs of the coming places, preserve the national image and ensure the security and safety of visitors. In case of necessity, tour guides and enterprises directly contact Vietnamese diplomatic missions in the host countries or via the hotlines of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
