The conference included many comments and recommendations on the explanation of proffesional terms and functions of library. Participants also proposed ideas on library ranking which have been mentioned in the bill’s chaper 3, article 35. Notably, the assessment of library’s performance is considered as one of the four most important criteria in raking and maintaining the rankings of libraries.
According to experts in the conference, the criteria for ranking should be clear enough to guarantee the transparency on implementation.
In total, 18 recommendations were presented in the conference aiming to improve the content and technical issues of the bill, while a majority of participants agreed with its current framework.
